TRACKS
Wheatland Karting Association (WKA) has the unique privilege of calling two tracks home. When racing with the WKA, you will experience unique racing surfaces and track configurations. Check out the tracks we have to offer!
Worden Park Raceway is located in Wellington, KS in Worden Park. It is owned by the City of Wellington, and promoted by the WKA. Worden Park
Raceway is a medium to high grip symmetric 6th mile semi-banked clay oval. It is a very smooth and consistent racing surface. Worden Park Raceway
has hosted WKA events for many years, and in 2010 hosted the first race of the Mid-America Speedway Nationals. Worden Park boasts an open spectator
area along the front stretch and into turns 1 and 2, concessions and restrooms. For 2012, Worden Park will again host WKA club and Maxxis SKKS races.

A mere 25 miles to the east, Winfield Fairgrounds Speedway is located in the heart of the city of Winfield, KS at the famed Winfield Fairgrounds. The
Speedway is leased from the City of Winfield and promoted by Mr. Jim Gibbs. In addition to past WKA and SKKS events, it has hosted some of the largest
national karting events in the Midwest in recent years, including the Pro Kart Tour in April 2012. It is a non-symmetric semi-banked oval slightly longer than Worden Park (this one’s a full 5th
mile track). The Speedway is of a hard red clay (very fast!), and on average slightly higher in grip than Worden Park. This track provides unique
challenges to the racer, as turns 1 and 2 are configured differently than turns 3 and 4. Mr. Gibbs will again partner with the WKA to host our club and
Maxxis SKKS races for 2012. WKA sincerely thanks Mr. Gibbs for his dedication to the club and the sport of karting.
